Say Yes to the Dress

By now, you've seen the Stella dress gracing your feed.  The Stella dress is my baby (appropriately named after my baby), my first design for the Good Thread Society label.

When I designed the Stella dress, I focused on what women were doing in real life--brunch with friends, running businesses, date nights, vacations, taking care of families--basically running the world.  I wanted to create a piece that could be worn in almost any setting, for any activity, but still be comfortable and stylish and sustainable.  It's really that simple.  Here's a few of the standout design elements that were important to me (and hopefully to you as well):

• The Stella dress is made of 100% certified organic cotton, which means it's made to last and is lightweight enough for spring and summer, but sturdy enough to layer for fall and winter.
• My favorite design element is the oversized pockets which I contemplated doing away with, but then life happened.  I wore the sample dress to the park with my toddler one day, and the pockets ended up being perfect for carrying random kids' stuff around, and that was the moment I truly fell in love with the dress.
• The Stella dress is designed for versatility.  Dress it up with some fancy mules, dress it down with sneakers, make is a summer staple with flat sandals, winterproof it with tights and booties.  You can truly wear this dress for almost any occasion!
