GTS x Two Roots Shop

If you haven't noticed yet, we now have accessories in the shop!  One of the easiest ways to breathe new life into your wardrobe is by accessorizing, so I wanted to introduce something bold and unique that could add an interesting element to any of your outfits.  That's where Two Roots Shop comes in...

Athenia Teng is the designer behind Two Roots Shop, based in Oakland, California.  She describes her jewelry as being for the "unapologetically bold" and a quick scroll through the shop's page will have you wanting to be one of those unapologetically bold babes if you weren't already.

As with all things Good Thread Society, I'm constantly mindful of the core aesthetic--modern and chic, but with a playful side.  That gave me a very clear vision of what accessories at GTS should look like, and I kinda just started there.  Thanks to the almighty algorithms, I found Two Roots Shop.  Athenia and I collaborated over a period of several months, kicking ideas back and forth until we both felt the collection was strong.  The bulk of the collaboration and trading ideas centered around colors because the designs and shapes were love at first sight.  Obviously, I couldn't pass up pastels for spring/summer, but I was also dreaming of bold primary color as well as earth tones.  Athenia had the ability to work all of that into one cohesive collection and had the most gentle way of getting me un-stuck in moments of indecisiveness.  End result:  the Abstract Hex and Abstract Orb earrings.
